If our students, parents and educators move forward with distance learning, we want you to know your School Counselor is readily available and here to support our students/families any way we can through this transition. Below you will find information and links to an abundance of information, supports and services -brought to you by your teachers, school community and Hamilton County Department of Education. Advice for Students: Help yourself stay academically organized and more productive by writing down your assignments! No agenda mate? No problem! You can use anything from a sheet of paper, the downloads below, or try a new Apps designed for this!

Coping with Changes: Resources for Students

The outbreak of coronavirus AND transiting to a new way of learning from home could certainly come with strong emotions. Below are some activities, worksheets, websites and apps, your counselors pulled together in an effort to help support students' mental health during this time.  

Counselor’s are available to go over any of these worksheets/activities with students individually (via phone or video/zoom).  Please reach out to talk more about any struggles you are experiencing and need help with. Remember, we are just an email away!

  Ms. Jamie Stephens -
Bio: Ms. Stephens holds a Bachelor's in Education, a Bachelor's in Psychology, and a Master's degree in School Counseling from UTC. Having taught 6th and 7th grade at OMS from 2003-2013, she then moved into a school counseling position.  A mother of 2 previous OMS students, she also serves as the cheer and golf coach, fundraising chair, and web/social media manager for OMS.
